I started writing this story set in the XIV universe back in November, and it’s been a 3 month project bringing it to fruition. I hope you all enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Since about November, I’ve been working on a comic series set in the world of Final Fantasy XIV, an online game published by Square Enix. I spent about a week writing it, then the next three months inking and coloring. I wanted to focus on telling a story that would be accessible not only to fans of the game, but also to people that had never heard of the game. I think I did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of a vibrant world, and including a story that touches on something basic, that requires no understanding of the game’s lore.
The last 2 pages after the “End” serve as “Bonus Content” for people that actually did play the game, tying it in with Final Fantasy XIV: 2.0 which releases sometime this year.
